Schedule for Hand Camp
Friday, September 20th (Optional)- Campers (no extra fee) will arrive at the 64 acres of hills, woods and stream on Friday late afternoon/evening, grab their campsite, take a stroll around the property and explore the woods, stream and settle in. We will also have a meet and greet around the fire. Food is on your own Friday evening.
Saturday, September 21st- Wake up or come early for breakfast of pancakes with Pure Maple Syrup made on the property, St. Joe Meat Market sausages and other options (NOTE: we will have Gluten Free options during the weekend.) For those camping Saturday night, we’ll have breakfast Sunday morning as well.
All day Saturday there will be classes going on. Each class will take place in a different part of the 64 acres. Instructors will be offering two ½ – day classes, or an all–day class. Please check out the classes page at: www.handcampmn.com/classes. Everyone will break for lunch provided by the Folk School around noon.
Saturday evening we will gather for wood fired pizzas and community around the fire. We encourage everyone to join us Saturday evening, even if you are not staying overnight.
One of our goals of the Avon Hills Folk School is to “come for the classes, stay for the community”.
Sunday, September 22nd- Breakfast will again be served on Sunday morning if you decide to camp over. Some students continue to work to finish up projects. We often have a ‘bonus’ class or experience for people to participate in on Sunday. Stay tuned for that announcement!
Hang out as long as you like, then head out when you are ready.
See you soon at the Folk School!
