Advanced Leather Working at Milk and Honey Ciders

We’re excited to announce an Advanced Leather Working class by Dan Horan of Merchant Leather hosted by Milk and Honey Ciders. 

Milk and Honey Ciders is situated between St. John’s University and St. Joseph, MN on the eastern flanks of the Avon Hills. It will be the perfect place and time to gather for some fun in the depths of winter. The class size is limited to 12 participants to ensure individualized attention and a positive experience.

Date & Time: Saturday, January 18th from 10am – 4pm

Place: Milk and Honey Ciders at 11738 County Road 51, St Joseph, MN 56374

Cost: $140.00 (pay here)

The cost includes 

  • 6 hours of class instruction

  • All necessary materials

  • Two Milk and Honey Ciders

  • Lunch

  • Other snacks & beverages

You will leave with your finished leather product that will impress you AND your friends/family. 

Class Description

Advanced Leather Working

Take your leather hand-sewing skills up a notch and make a beautiful leather tote bag (two designs to choose from) or a drawstring bucket bag. Be guided through the process from hide to finished product.

Though not required, it is recommended that participants have taken a previous class or have equivalent experience.

The instructor is Dan Horan, the master mind behind Merchant Leather. He is a completely self-taught leatherworker with a style that incorporates traditional techniques along with trial and error. Merchant Leather strives to pass the tradition of working with leather on to others.
