November 2023 Newsletter

Looking ahead, and behind- feeling grateful and excited for the future.

As fall winds down and winter looms we are busy reflecting on 2023 and planning for 2024. Thanks to growing interest and support we are looking forward to and planning for huge growth next year in our programming, support, interest and overall growth.

Our team has been meeting and will continue to over the balance of 2023 to identify the courses and instructors we’ll be bringing to campus. In addition we’ll be sharing plans for growing our organization and campus next year and beyond. Super excited to share those plans with you.

During our recent annual community Bouja party I was approached by numerous people who said “I want to help”. They asked that I/we reach out when we needed something. In some cases it was if we needed them for an hour or two, “I’m just down the road - give me a call.” In other cases folks want to help with something on a larger scale, “When is that 135-year old barn going up? I want to help with that.” And sometimes, upon hearing what we are doing, they look me in the eye and say, “What do you need?”

We are in a constant state of gratitude for all of it - we’ve got this far because of your support and we’ll continue to need it as we grow.

With gratitude,

Chris Schellinger

Executive Director

November 16th is Give To The Max Day (GTMD)

GTMD is the next, easiest way to support our Mission and continued growth. Please join others on that day and offer your financial support.

Our Avon Hills Folk School board is offering a matching challenge this year. Every dollar up to $1,000 will be matched by our board. Plan for logging in on or before November 16th and watch to see as we work towards this match.

Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
