Serious Progress!
After a break for the 4th of July its back at it!
Last week the crane came and in just under 5 hours the timber frame section built 127 years ago by Joseph Schellinger came down.
Now we will disassemble, label and store the timbers. This begins the long process of review, re-design and ultimate re-raising of the 1889 Undersander Barn. This is optimistically scheduled for sometime in 2018.
First much planning, fundraising and work will have to happen before the barn can once again welcome people into it’s inspiring space. Just in time for a 130th Birthday Party!
But now – clean-up must commence on-site. Help is welcome this weekend as we seek to fill the 30 yard dumpster!
A big thank you to those who have volunteered so far! Every removed nail and gathered shingle counts!
