Ceramic Luminaries

Create your own luminaries in this fun class.  Students will work with pliable clay slabs which can be incised with decorative accents. Then formed into cylinders and finished off with a circular slab for the base.

Time and materials will allow for students to make two luminaries. Lots of flexibility for design, since we are working with wet clay.

During the class we will discuss glaze colors and the students will fill out a color card, so the instructor can glaze the luminaries once they have been bisque fired. The luminaries will be glaze fired and available for pick-up at the Avon Hills Folk School 2 weeks after the class.
