Fiber Circle

Bring whatever fiber arts project you’re currently working on, or pick up that project you’ve been meaning to finish. Share ideas, troubleshoot with fellow makers, and enjoy creating in community at the Folk School.

We’re revamping Felting Circle into Fiber Circle to welcome all fiber arts practices. Each month will feature a different community host sharing their fiber art expertise and creative practice in a casual manner.

This month’s visiting community host is: Karen Storkamp

Karen Storkamp is hosting the August Fiber Circle at the folk school! Karen is a folk school instructor, volunteer, and student. She has been an avid needle felter since 2016 and enjoys both 2D and 3D needle felting. In her years of learning, teaching, and experiencing, Karen has come up with lots of tips and tricks, from what kind of supplies to buy, to how to create one of a kind pieces of art. She can’t wait to see what fiber projects you are working on and is excited to create in community together! If you are a needle felter, this is the Fiber Circle for you.

This event is for adults ages 18+ or youth ages 12+ accompanied by an adult.

Registration is required.
