Gasinee (gay-si-knee) Pitakkan of Paper Mountain Jewelry has been creating jewelry for over 10 years. She is Thai American, born and raised in New Mexico. Her journey as an artist began with a fascination for origami, learning from family and friends. It ignited a lifelong passion for art. She has apprenticed with silversmiths and artists, gathering and learning various techniques. 

She currently designs and creates jewelry in her home studio in rural Minnesota, where she enjoys exploring ways to combine her love of metalsmithing and origami. 

Through her creations, she hopes to share her passion with others. Her work is not only meant to adorn, but to remind us to find joy in the little things.
