October 3, 2025

1:00pm-8:00pm

This retreat centers around the art of intentional living and reconnection, with self, community, and the natural world. Through grounding movement, meditative walking, shared meals, and soulful conversation, we’ll explore the practices of mindfulness, breathwork, yoga, storytelling, and seasonal nourishment. It’s not a class in the traditional sense, but rather a day-long experience of embodied presence, humility, and restoration.

You can expect a gentle, spacious, and nourishing day held in the forest: a chance to slow down, breathe deeply, and return to yourself. We’ll move through a thoughtfully curated rhythm of movement, rest, reflection, and connection, with opportunities for solitude as well as community. Expect herbal teas, cozy moments, forest walks, grounding yoga, a nourishing shared supper, campfire connection, and a closing sharing circle. All levels of experience are welcome, and everything is offered and accepted with warmth and care.

Throughout the day, you’ll experience:

● A guided meditative forest walk to settle into the land

● A breath-led, all-levels yoga practice with a sound bath from SoulEnergy

● Opportunities for quiet reflection, journaling, and creative expression

● A soulful supper shared in good company

● Campfire conversations with thoughtful prompts and storytelling

● Time for solo wandering, grounding, or rest

You’ll leave with a deeper sense of inner stillness, connection, and clarity, along with simple tools to integrate mindfulness and nature-based rituals into your daily life.

Please bring:

  • your whole self

  • a yoga mat

  • a bolster or pillow to sit on

  • a journal and writing tool

  • water bottle

  • layers to accommodate for weather and elements during day and night (indoor/outdoor)

Students under 18 welcome if accompanied by an adult

BRITTANY BERVEN

(she/her)

Brittany is a Minnesota native and St. Cloud State alum with a background in accounting, now working at the intersection of holistic psychology, yoga, and community care. She holds a degree in psychology, is a registered yoga instructor (RYT-200), and is a qualified neutral under Rule 114 of the Minnesota State Supreme Court. Her recent work with the Avon Hills Folk School explored how hands-on learning and outdoor play support confidence, curiosity, and a sense of agency.

Through her organization, True Treatment, she offers physical and mental hygiene(yoga), private education, nature-based childcare, and family and civil mediation. Brittany also co-operates The Porchlight Collective with Megan Sieben, creating space for connection through retreats, talking circles, and practices rooted in indigenous history and women’s wisdom. She believes everyone deserves a life that feels gentle and true to who they are, like they belong. At home, Brittany enjoys gardening, foraging, reading, and crafting; she’s passionate about sharing the magic of plant medicine, community support, and mental wellness.

MEGAN SIEBEN

(she/her)

Megan Sieben is a 200-Hour Registered Yoga Teacher and Karuna Reiki Master Practitioner. She has a deep love for the healing arts, and is currently studying Ayurveda and Integrative Health. Her journey began in 2019, when she first noticed the sacredness within my own heart and within all. She started to see life in a new way and became devoted to this understanding. Her passions deepened through traveling in Central and South America, where she was immersed into ways of life and being that transformed her. Her intention is to foster spaces of authenticity and belonging, encouraging our true selves to emerge and guide us. We are all our own greatest healers and teachers, and this connection is available to us always. Through community, connection, and these ancient teachings, we are remembering together. It is an honor to walk this path alongside you.
